Shine a Light on Care – Join the Lamplight Procession

17th March 2025

On Saturday 22 March, at 6:30 PM, organised by Bristol Women's Voice, a striking Lamplight Procession will set off from St Nicholas Street (Castle Park), calling for carers and parents to be seen, valued, and supported. This powerful event will highlight the vital role of care in our society.

Expect a peaceful, beautiful, and family-friendly evening filled with lanterns carrying women’s messages, striking large figurines draped in printed words of care, live performances, and communal singing—all celebrating the strength of togetherness.

If you believe caring is the foundation of our communities, this is your call to stand in solidarity and allyship. The procession will continue until 8:30 PM.

Bristol Women’s Voice is also seeking volunteers to carry one of 200 placards and lanterns created by caregivers who are unable to attend due to health, mobility, or caring duties.

Join in and help shine a light on care!
