Work with us

29th January 2025

We’re looking for two trustee board members.

Board of Trustees member

This is an exciting time to join our friendly board as a Trustee. Carers Support Centre is an independent registered charity. We improve the quality of life and promote the rights of children and adult unpaid carers.

What are we looking for?

We are always keen to hear from people who might expand the skills and experience of our body of trustees for the benefit of the organisation and carers we support. We welcome you to contact us to have a chat about your experience, skills and interests.

All Trustees must demonstrate:

  • A commitment to the organisation and its cause, demonstrating an understanding of the role of unpaid/family carers and the impact of this
  • A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort
  • Strategic vision
  • Good, independent judgment
  • An ability to think creatively
  • A willingness to speak their mind
  • An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship (we can provide support on this)
  • An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Support from other trustees will be available to help you settle in as well as training and opportunities to observe key meetings in the early stage of your involvement. We are not looking to fill a specific role at this time but would like someone who has the skills alongside the passion and motivation to get involved in the work of the board.
