Read our Impact Report for 2023/4

20th September 2024

The Carers Support Centre Impact Report for 2023/4, addresses the challenges faced by unpaid carers and young carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

In the charity’s newly published Impact Report, Carers Support Centre CEO, Carl Tamms, reflects on another difficult year for unpaid carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

During the year, the cost of living crisis disproportionally affected carers. Add in the lack of health and social services to support carers in their roles and carers are having to do more with less. The consequences of these factors are detrimental to the health, well-being, and personal ambitions of carers, which in turn impact the care they can provide for their loved ones.

The Impact Report also outlines the charity’s strategic response to the needs of local carers. It offers a glimpse into their lives, shedding light on the bespoke support services offered by Carers Support Centre to tackle the critical issues carers confront.
